This is one of the very few places in the world that you can observe and actually swim with the extraordinary whale shark, described as a very large spotted shark actually considered to be the largest fish in the world. Their arrival commences out at sea off Cabo Catoche in May and the experience is practically guaranteed at Isla Holbox from mid-June through September. This particular shark is a filter feeder (plancton and small fish) as opposed to feeding on large prey. They are normally at the surface, so you can easily see them from the boat and snorkel with them.

Terms and Conditions
Deposit Policy:
To confirm a reservation the 50% deposit of the total stay is required. One day prior to arrival the other 50% deposit should be done.
If the reservation is made 7 days prior to arrival, 100% deposit is required to confirm.
For reservations with stay from December 20th. to January 6th. 100% deposit is required to confirm.
Cancellation Policy:
Cancellation charges will be applied as follows:
- Up to 15 days prior to arrival, 25% from total stay.
- From 14 to 7 days prior to arrival, 35% from total stay.
- From 6 to 3 days prior to arrival, 50% from total stay.
From 2 days, no shows and early departures will be charged 100% of the entire stay.
Credit Cards:
Transportation
Option 1: Transfer from Cancun Airport to Chiquilá in a semi-private van whit air conditioning, to get to Chiquilá. Then you will take the Ferry to Hobox, a wait may be necessary for the ferry that runs every hour from 6:00 am until 7:00 pm. Once at Holbox you will be transported in a golf cart to the hotel. Cost: $ 80 per person, one way (2 people min. charge). $ 130 for a single person. In case that you required a private van transportation, the cost is $ 110 USD per person one way. Minimum 2 people. * In the previous option includes ground transportation, and water taxi. It takes about three hours.
Option 2: In a small plane for 4 people, the same company is responsible for receiving you at the Cancun airport on arrival, take a taxi that takes you to the area for private flights which take off towards Holbox. A taxi (golf cart), will transfer to the hotel.
