A screenwriter, painter and full-time artist, Sandra has lined the walls with original works—hers and other Cuban artists—, personally designed the furnishings and named the rooms after inspirations: Ilusión (Illusion), Amanecer (Dawn), Sentido (Feeling)É By infusing CasaSandra with her unique sensibilities and an artistic touch, she has created a getaway that is both refreshing and exquisite. Bed linens are silken to the touch, pillows are hand-embroidered, and the amenities are of the signature organic kind, specially created for her guests. Details? You May Want To Know
This is one of the very few places in the world that you can observe and actually swim with the extraordinary whale shark, described as a very large spotted shark actually considered to be the largest fish in the world. Their arrival commences out at sea off Cabo Catoche in May and the experience is practically guaranteed at Isla Holbox from mid-June through September. This particular shark is a filter feeder (plancton and small fish) as opposed to feeding on large prey. They are normally at the surface, so you can easily see them from the boat and snorkel with them.

A one night deposit is required to guarantee the reservation
During Easter week (Apr 18-24), Christmas and New Years ( Dec 21 – Jan 06/11), deposit will be applied as follows:
30 – 15 days prior 25% of total stay
14 – 7 days prior 50% of total stay
6 – 4 days prior 75% of total stay
3 – 0 days prior 100% of the total stay.
Cancellation charges will be applied as follows:

Transportation
The hotel can pre-arrange transportation from the Cancun airport with prior request. There are three options for transportation:
SEMI-PRIVATE LAND TRANSFER – Transportation from Cancun airport to Chiquila in an A/C van. In Chiquila a wait may be necessary for the ferry that runs each hour on the hour from 6:00 am until 7:00pm. Once in Holbox you will be transported to the hotel by local taxi (golf cart).
Cost $80 USD per person, one way (2 people min. charge). $160 USD for one person. Private van $110 per person one way (minimum 2 people).
PRIVATE LAND TRANSFER- Transportation is done as in the previous option, the only difference here is that upon arrival to Chiquila, a private boat would take you to Holbox, (no wait is necessary), and on to the hotel.
Cost $100 USD per person, one way (2 people min. charge). $200 USD for one person.
For the above options land and water taxis are included in the cost. Total transfer time is approx. 3 hours.
FLYING TO HOLBOX: Small aircraft for 4 passengers. You are met at the Cancun airport and taken to the private airport. In Holbox a taxi takes you to the hotel. Cost $595 USD plus 10% tax, one way, same cost for 1 up to 4 people.
