Mexico Boutique Hotels was founded in 1999 when we discovered that small, independent boutique hotels in Mexico shared a need for networking and sharing resources. There were several high quality, unique properties spread throughout the country, that were struggling with marketing their product and looking for a brand that would help position them properly within the hospitality industry.
Basically, boutique hotels needed help with marketing, PR and sales. They needed a ‘family’. And travelers and/or travel agents needed help finding and booking these special places. At the time, larger online travel agencies weren’t interested in these tiny properties and so we truly became the bridge between the boutique hotels themselves and those wishing to visit them.
Today, we remain a resource for boutique hotels. A place to get advice, hear about the latest trends, ask questions, share marketing costs and support each other and our industry. We’re close to our hotels and to the travelers we send around the country. We love what we do – still – and believe in the warmth of Mexico and the Mexican people.
