Has it ever happened to you that it is hard for you to fall asleep because of the emotion of the activities you had during the day, because you are used to sleeping on your bed, with your pillows or simply because you are having a bad night? Arianna Huffington in her book “The Sleep Revolution” writes about the importance and benefits of sleep and talks about her experience in the topic. Here are some tips she has shared for a better sleep.

- keep a medium temperature in your room

- Stop using electrical devices at least 30 minutes before going to bed.

- Do not drink caffeine after 2:00 p.m.

- The pajamas or clothes you wear to sleep send your body the message it is time to sleep, so don’t wear gym or day clothes to sleep.

- Try to do some stretching, yoga or meditation to help your mind make the transition to sleep.

- When you read a book, make this a physical one, or an electrical one not emitting blue light.

- Help your body get in the sleeping mood by drinking a caffeine-free tea.

- Before you turn the light off, make a list of things, reasons or situations you are grateful for.
